These were a lot of fun to make! My kids really enjoyed it, and will be selling them in a Makers Market with their homeschool group. Unfortunately, our kit didn’t come with the 6 lavender sprigs it was supposed to include and that was a disappointment. But we chose to make them anyway, so we won’t be returning! All in all, if all pieces are included, this is a great buy! Smells and looks beautiful.

While everything came the dried orange did not make it. I didn’t expect the decorations so I am just happy about being able to create beautiful beeswax candles. The instructions have good detail as well.

This was overall an enjoyable little project. I liked the material used, I just wish it were thicker or there was more of it because my candles didn’t come out as thick as I would have wanted them too. Despite them coming out thin, they’re so pretty I will just use them as a decoration.

We finally had the opportunity to try the candle kit during a play date with my son’s school friend (both family practice social distancing and did the craft outdoor on picnic table). The kids are 6 yo (2) and 8 yo (1) and honestly other than explaining the rules, helping them pick colors (so they take turn and be fair), assisting with some of the cutting, they pretty much did the rest by themselves. They were thrilled with all the available designs that came with the instructions, they wanted to try them all!The kids each made one candle and we still have plenty of materials left for more. Overall I think this is a great craft for the kids to kill time during this “stay at home, can’t go anywhere COVID-pandemic”. We have bought so many arts and crafts kits, and I can say for sure that this is one of our top 5.These are probably some of the things that stand out that we like about the kit -Wax smells great and were easy to mold when neededInstructions were simple & easy to understand, kids looked at the pictures of the finished product and then looked at the instruction to make themWhat was weird was some reviews suggest that the kit included decorative items, but ours was just the beeswax with wick. But honestly, I prefer keeping it simple, otherwise I think it gets too complicated for our kids and I have a feeling that parents would end up doing the work.

I was looking forward for these wax sheets but was very disappointed. My boys and I were making candles and these were not to fun. They have no scent and broke off. I would not recommend this. We ended making our own soy candles with essential oils. Much better

What a fun set! I made these candles with my 3 and 6 year olds. They did most of the work and I helped with scissors and tying. There is something incredibly satisfying for children to work with real materials rather than toys. They are always more proud of the end result. We will likely buy another set in the future for Christmas candles or another season.

I don’t write many reviews. I found this kit when I was searching for bees wax candles. I thought it sounded fun and I was really sold when I saw it was made in the USA. I ordered it and I was hopeful.When it arrived – I was impressed. From the opening of the box and seeing how everything was hand packaged, and carefully packaged at that. There were two “accessories” of each kind with a generous amount of wick and twine. And the wax…. the wax was beautiful!!! The smell was all I needed to know it was authentic and the amount of wax provided is quite generous.I was a little intimidated at first, but I sat at the table and got to work. The was so easy! I had so much fun and my imagination is kicking in and I think I will buy more and make them as gifts throughout the year. The initial cost upfront feels steep, but when you consider how many bees wax candles you can make, and the fun doing it – it is a bargain!So, if you are in the fence – I would say – do it – buy this kit and have fun!!!

My kids and I had a super fun time making these, but when we went to light them for our tea time none of them would light.The owners told us we had the wick to high. They sent us another one to try and they worked beautifully!!! We enjoyed using the candles on Thanksgiving!My kids 9,8, 4 were all able to help make the candles.Customer Service is fabulous!

Wonderful instructions and a great way to relax in the evening. I do have a warning though: the lavender lit on fire (as will all the other items, just make sure to take the lace off, or burn this in your fireplace). I didn’t mind at all when the lavender burned as it smelled even more incredible. It burned clean, and quick, and was a great way to unwind with my kids over a cup of tea.

Great kit to get started. Like many other recent reviews, the decorative orange slice was moldy when the kit arrived, but the rest of the items were as described. My kids and I had a great time making candles together. We watched a few videos on candle rolling techniques and had fun trying them out. We chose to make more small candles rather than big ones. Altogether we made 18 candles and had wick left over.
